About the Artist

Joe is a nationally recognized commercial artist, designer and illustrator. Over the years he has won hundreds of awards for his commercial work, and his illustrations have been recognized by such prestigious organizations as the New York Art Directors Club, CLIO’s, The New York Society of Illustrators, Print magazine and more. In 2009, Joe began doing portraits of the people he works with on the streets of Columbus, Ohio, which in 2013 culminated in a show/fundraiser called “Art & Soul – An Intimate Portrait”. This one-man show at the St. Joseph’s Cathedral Undercroft, The Martin de Porres Center and the McConnell Art Center raised over $40,000 for charity and brought much needed awareness to the plight of those people living on our streets. Many of those portraits are shown on this site. This show launched his fine arts career.

"I paint what I know and love and I try to capture a true spirit and dignity in all of my subjects."
